The intricate rose detailing in the headbands, belts and shoes looks as delicious as a buttercream cake, ugh I could eat it! I’m definitely sensing some Renaissance inspiration going on here with the jewels, rich fabrics, florals, and mini sculptured babies found on the earrings and purses. Dolce & Gabbana is definitely having a moment. I especially loved the Spring 2012 collection. They seem to love bold prints, with the florals in Fall and then an Italian feast resembled in the Spring collection. The spring collection was featured in Harper’s Bazaar in a festive spread photographed by Terry Richardson. ”The Dolce and Gabbana aesthetic is steeped in indulgence: in sequins and sex, and definitely in food.”
